Calzada de Béjar

Calzada de Béjar is a traditional example of a linear settlement; its main artery is the Roman eadows which stand old houses with balconies full of flowers. On a hillock the Roman fort that served to control the route can still be seen. The upland landscape of this ead alternates eadows and hills and is of great beauty. Moreover, the 16th-century Palacio Ducal is also situated in this village.
